Ken is a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He graduated magna cum laude from Spring Arbor University with a B.A. and then went on to earn his Law Degree from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating cum laude. Ken and his wife have two grown children and three grandchildren, all continue to reside in the Jackson area.

Ken has devoted the majority of his legal career to the area of Family Law. He has handled hundreds of Family Law cases and is often to appointed by the Jackson County Circuit Court to represent children as the guardian ad litem. Ken is a trained Domestic Relations Mediator and has successfully mediated countless divorce cases. He has also acted as an Arbitrator in many family law disputes. When appropriate, Ken believes in Alternative Dispute Resolution as a means to resolve personal and family issues so as to avoid the lasting negative effects of contentious litigation.

In addition to family law and mediation, the firm’s current profile lists criminal defense work, including misdemeanors, felonies, and capital cases.

Ken is a member of the Michigan Bar Association and Jackson County Bar Association. He has served on the following Boards: Community Corrections Board; Spring Arbor Township Public Safety Board, Jackson County Family Services and Children’s Aid Board; and the Child and Parent Safe Haven Project. The Firm is a member of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
